WELCOME
…to Panhellenic Sororities at the University of Alberta, a cherished and longstanding student community established since 1931! Our four sororities on campus (Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Pi Beta Phi) are united by our Four Pillars of Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Friendship; and each of our members strive to make the most of their undergraduate experience by engaging with the opportunities and individuals of our student group.
Our mission is to foster meaningful friendships and support the personal growth of undergraduate women. At Panhellenic Sororities, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of our members through various avenues of excellence, while also giving back to our campus community to create even more opportunities for others.
Executive, Officer, and Director positions in collegiate organization, Greek governing council, and alumnae opportunities following graduation.
Low-time commitment leadership positions in collaborative spaces, such as crews and committees, as an easy transition into larger roles.
Leadership programming and trips across the globe to meet with revolutionary leaders, CEOs, and intuitive thinkers to challenge one’s skills and perspective.
Professional connections with graduates and sponsors to better integrate into the real world come graduation.
Each chapter has their own granting and scholarship funding to support their students through school, and reward them for their educational success.
Both the greater Panhellenic Community and each individual sorority schedules programming from group and individual work in academic spaces. Including study hours, marathons, greater help sessions, and more.
Connections with graduates who have also explored all areas of study, and can provide professional advice and insight into how to utilize one’s undergraduate degree, or to explore graduate programs.
Each chapter has their philanthropy; a specific humanitarian cause that their members most involve themselves with. Our members aim to contribute to these specific groups by raising awareness of their struggles, fundraising monetary donations, and serving time in programs and institutes that directly impact the group.
Giving back to the University of Alberta by volunteering in our campus services, and advocating for the betterment of general student life.
Community Programs open spaces for different marginalized groups and speakers to come and educate our community on how they could direct their efforts towards struggles that are often overlooked or undervalued.
Each chapter has their own Big/Little Process where a new member is paired with an active member to support them through their sorority experience! They join a long-line of previous members that go back generations!
Sisterhood Events from both the sororities and the Panhellenic Council that are fun ways to get involved in the community and make new friendships!
Formal and Informal events to cater to all types of people, the introverted, extroverted, night-owls and early birds!
A network of sisters internationally, across the globe, which stay interconnected even after graduation!
